The followings are the fuel-efficient uses of several diesel generator sets:
1.Diesel purification. Diesel oil contains a variety of minerals and impurities. If it is not precipitated, filtered and purified, it will affect the work of the plunger and the fuel injection head, resulting in uneven fuel supply and poor fuel atomization, which will reduce engine power and increase fuel consumption. Therefore, it is recommended to let the diesel oil stand for a period of time to allow impurities to settle, and filter the funnel with a filter screen when refueling. Then it is to clean or replace the filter regularly to achieve the purpose of purification.
2.Remove carbon deposits. Diesel generators have polymers attached to the valves, valve seats, fuel injectors and piston tops during operation. These carbon deposits will increase fuel consumption and should be removed in time.
3.Keep the water temperature. If the cooling water temperature of the diesel generator is too low, the diesel will not burn completely, which will affect the performance of power and waste fuel. Therefore, it is necessary to use the thermal insulation curtain properly, and it is best to use soft water without minerals for cooling water, such as flowing river water or pure water.
4.Don’t overload operation. When the machinery is overloaded, black smoke is emitted, which is the emission of fuel that is not fully burned. As long as the machinery often emits black smoke, it will increase fuel consumption and shorten the service life of components.
5.Regular inspection and timely repair. Check the machinery regularly or irregularly, maintain and repair it diligently, and is benefit to the healthy and stable operation of machinery.
