MTU 2000&4000 series diesel engines (with generator set power above 500KW) were developed, manufactured and marketed in 1997 by the German
Engine Turbine Union Friedrichshafen Co., Ltd. (MTU), including eight cylinders, twelve cylinders, sixteen cylinders and ten cylinders. There are five
different models of eight cylinders and twenty cylinders, and the output power ranges from 270KW to 2720KW. The design and development of these
two four-stroke engines formally provide products that are multifunctional, highly reliable and economical to meet the requirements of today and the
future for environmental protection and reduction of exhaust emissions.
The fuel consumption and all emission indicators of the two new series of engines represent the latest technological level. Longer maintenance intervals,
significantly simplified maintenance procedures, and practical on-site control systems will greatly reduce operating costs. The engine is highly adaptable
and can be applied to all applications from fixed to mobile.

Features:
The main features of MTU Benz 2000 engine are:
(1) The structure design is reasonable, the modular structure design is adopted, and the maintenance is convenient;
(2) The engine is highly adaptable. When the altitude reaches 400m and the ambient temperature reaches 40°C, no power correction is required;
extremely excellent engine load response characteristics;
(3) Excellent fuel economy, low fuel consumption rate and oil consumption rate, the index can reach 190 ~ 200g/Kwh, and the operating cost is low;
(4) Excellent exhaust emission index, NOx value <2000mg/m; low particle emission, which can meet all emission standards;
(5) The interval between overhauls is long, up to 24,000 hours; (Note: Generally, the domestic unit is 8,000 hours, and the Japanese and American units
are 12,000 hours);
(6) The oil change interval of high-quality engine oil reaches 1000 hours, which can run for 24 hours;
(7) No white smoke at startup; low noise, low vibration; excellent volume ratio power and weight ratio power indicators.
